The Breitenbush River (rainbow trout not pictured)
Like the river
The Breitenbush River flows through the Cascade Mountains of Western Oregon, emptying into Detroit Reservoir and ultimately the Santiam River. The Wilson family spent late summer afternoons and early mornings fishing for rainbow trout on the river’s rocky banks.
The Breitenbush provides inspiration for what we aim to build at our firm. It is a place of peace and serenity. We aim to be a calming resource for our clients, providing measured, thoughtful and assuring advice as they navigate pressure-filled opportunities and challenges.
The river flows down through the mountains, past rocks and boulders, over fallen trees, around outcroppings and ledges. We aim to be flexible, helping our clients find the right path through complexity.
At the same time, the river is steady - you can stand today on the same rocks you fished from decades ago. We aim to be consistent, reliable, and there for our clients when they need us.
In 2020, wildfires tore through the area near the Breitenbush, destroying the small town of Detroit and wreaking havoc across the surrounding forests. The Breitenbush still flows, and will be a healing force as the forest regrows, the town rebuilds and the landscape returns to normal. Having experienced a period of intensity in recent years personally, professionally and as a broader community, we hope that our firm is a place of rebirth, growth and opportunity, for our teams and our clients.
